UAE has announced that all residents/citizens returning into the country, regardless of which country they are returning from, are now required to carry a negative COVID-19 PCR test with them. This was announced on 22nd July, and is effective from Friday, July 24th 2020.
At a press conference yesterday, the official spokesperson from National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) said that a PCR test must be from an accredited laboratory. Details of the list of accredited laboratories can be found here: https://screening.purehealth.ae/application
It was advised that the validity of the tests shouldn’t exceed 72 hours from the travel date and that it’s absolutely essential for every airline to make sure that all passengers boarding their flights have a Covid negative certificate on hand.
A tweet released by NCEMA on 22nd July, 2020 announcing the new travel procedure.
