Home Search in Dubai

Helpxpat will save your time by assuring all properties closely suit your needs and reporting back to you with an itinerary. Our consultants in Dubai have considerable market knowledge and negotiation skills.

A safer option is to use the services of a relocation agent, who will be able to speak the language and understand the local nuances of the Dubai property market. If you are relocating to Dubai, you will find many options in terms of accommodation. Dubai is well-known for its luxurious and ultra-modern architecture. It is also possible to find luxury villas, but these can be quite expensive.

You may be assisted for accommodation by your employer prior to your relocation, either by obtaining a housing allowance, or your employer pays the rent for you, which can then be deducted from your monthly salary.

Types of accommodation in Dubai

There are various types of accommodation available in Dubai. You can find both furnished and unfurnished accommodation, and prices differ on the type of accommodation as well as the location. Some areas are more upmarket than others, such as along the Jumeirah Beach, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, or New Dubai.

You can find apartments in various modern buildings, usually high-rise ones. These tend to have a balcony but no garden. If you'd like to have a home with a garden, you can check out the townhouses or free-standing villas.

You will have to consider factors that will determine your quality of life, such as the distance of your accommodation from your workplace as this will impact your commute time. And the proximity of schools and other facilities if you relocate with your family.

Some expats choose to live outside of Dubai for cheaper rent, for instance in Sharjah.

How to find a home in Dubai?

If you are planning to relocate to Dubai and need assistance to find a home, helpxpat.com enables you to find the most appropriate home for the employee for their budget and lifestyle and to negotiate the best possible lease terms – saving the client and the employee time, financial liability and stress.

Lease

The lease is usually established for a period of one year and is renewable. The rent usually needs to be paid for the whole year in advance. Utilities such as water and electricity are not usually included in the rent. In some cases, you will also be responsible to pay for the upkeep of the garden or backyard. You are advised to check all these utilities costs in addition to the rental price.

Choosing a right school in Dubai

Choosing a school is a major, major decision and one that many parents struggle with and this can be resolved by an experienced relocation company. Your child's education will have a big impact on their future successes in life. Helpxpat school search program helps the employees to identify schooling requirements for their children, and then coordinates a school tour(s), explains testing and interview requirements, and assists with the application and enrolment

We see questions for parents in Dubai every day on our forum.

What is the best school for my child? What is the best Dubai school to choose if we live here? And so on, so forth. So to help parents out, we've pulled together some advice for you from our expert base and hope this will help you in making the final decision.

With so many schools in Dubai to choose from, it can be a monumental task trying to decide which school to enrol your child in.

Finding a school in Dubai

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is a Dubai government authority that licenses and oversees both private and public education in Dubai. Since 2008, the Dubai School Inspections Bureau (DSIB), an arm of the KHDA, has been providing a comprehensive review of the performance of each school in Dubai. As the KHDA inspection reports place schools into four categories (unsatisfactory, acceptable, good, and outstanding) based on a number of key indicators, they are a great place to start researching potential schools.

When meeting your selected school, ask to see any accreditation reports so you can better understand the quality of the school and its curriculum.

Curriculum in Dubai

Since Dubai is a transient and not always the ultimate destination for some expatriates, the type of curriculum, style of teaching, and language of your home country (or the country of your next expat assignment) are generally important deciding factors for a school.

As many different types of educational curriculum are offered in Dubai, ranging from British, American, Canadian, Australian, Arabic, and Indian to the International Baccalaureate (IB) system, this may be one way of weeding out different schools.

Tuition Fees

There is a huge range of tuition fees in Dubai, starting from approximately AED 5,000 a year to almost a AED 100,000 per year for some schools. Some schools also charge a reservation fee to ensure your child’s placement in addition to application fees.

If your children’s school fees are not covered or subsidised by your employer or your spouse’s employer, determine your budget and research the available schools in that price range. We have a big list of Dubai School Fees for you to help you make that all important decision. This can be provided upon request.

Bringing Pets to Dubai

Bringing pets to another country is never easy. It may be wiser to get yourself installed before you bring the pets. This is because, to bring a pet into the country one of the things you need is to prove that you have a residence visa or have a letter from your employer stating that the application is in process.

You will also need a permit to import your pet. This can be complicated but there is help available.

Cats and dogs in Dubai have to be registered and micro-chipped. Your pets will need to be in good health and have up-to-date inoculation certificates. You might like to consider that there are plenty of cats and dogs in the UAE looking for good homes. If you would like to get a pet on arrival, contact the www.helpxpat.com

Residence visa in Dubai

The residence visa is the next step after securing an employment visa. Think of it as an evolution of the latter. After the whole process is complete, you can now sponsor your family members and bring them into the country as well.

Types of Company Formation in Dubai / Business set up in Dubai/ Trade License in Dubai

Helpxpat is well-versed with the company formation laws and regulations in Dubai. We can help you set up your business here by availing the licenses like Industrial/Service License, Trading/Commercial License, and Professional/General Trading License). You can choose from among a free zone, mainland, or offshore company in Dubai.

Onshore and offshore sectors dominate the UAE economy. The difference between these two is that offshore industries contain free zones that bring foreign investment. And onshore sectors put restrictions on foreign ownership and take care of local business interests. Here's a little summary on the three types of company formation in Dubai:

1. Free Zone Company

Free zones in Dubai are the most sought-after locations for international business operations. They attract foreign direct investment due to their policies that generate employment while supporting economic reforms. Free zone company registration Dubai is a highly profitable investment option for organizations because of incentives like:

* 100% foreign ownership

* Exemption of taxes

* Customs privileges

* More significant growth potential due to the strategic location

* Well established transport network and road connectivity

* Proximity to a large customer base

* Affordable cost for high-quality labor

2. Offshore Company

Many businesses prefer to set up an offshore company, also known as the non-resident company, in Dubai, as the income obtained from a holding company (offshore company) is not taxable.

Other than tax savings, people prefer having an offshore company as a holding company so that they can hold:

* The interest of other companies in a separate jurisdiction

* Licensing of franchises

* Intellectual property rights like patent, trademark, copyright, etc.

* There are many features of offshore company formation Dubai like,

* Complete tax exemption

* Virtual office facilities

* No exchange control

* Provision to open a multi-currency bank account

* Stringent privacy laws and reliable confidentiality

Offshore business setup in Dubai has several benefits associated with it, due to which many established businesses outside Dubai go for this option.

3. Mainland Company

A business entity falling under commercialized geographical areas and directly registered under the Emirates government and its authorities are known as a mainland company. A mainland company in Dubai can carry out business across the UAE but permits maximum foreign shareholder equity capped at 49%. Mainland represents the most developed economy as it is set up directly following the legal structures of the Government policies.

Police Clearance Certificate for Expatriates in Dubai

A Police Clearance Certificate states any criminal records and will be required if you are applying for a visa.

A police certificate is an official document issued by police or government agency of a country to enumerate any criminal records that the applicant may have. Criminal records may include arrest, conviction, and possibly criminal proceedings. Police certificate is also known as good citizen certificate, good conduct certificate, police clearance certificate, or judicial record extracts.
