According to experts, companies might start asking staff to work from their office soon. While companies are evaluating the pros and cons of working from home, employees may soon have to start going back to work in hotels and shopping malls.
Due to the pandemic, flexible working places and remote working has become the preferred way of working even though pre-COVID-19, it wasn’t the case. The fact that social distancing and several other restrictions that need to be followed due to Covid-19 eliminates the possibility of the workspace going back to what it used to be.
A lot of companies are planning to incorporate ‘flexible working programmes” to make the work environment. Since 2004, may companies have doubled up in office supplies for their workspace in order to create a flexible and agile working environment for their employees.
Companies are now moving into smaller office spaces which would help them cut out the extra costs such as DEWA and promote flexible/remote working for their employees. CEO, Managers, high ranked position holders are now incorporating home offices, desks, chairs in order to work from home while being productive and safe.
Although, Dubai currently has a lot of office spaces that have opened up or aren’t being used due to other sectors like hospitality as they are trying to re-purpose their rooms as yoga studios or workspaces which could be an added income in place of the unoccupied rooms.
All in all, working from home is here to stay and will continue to be opted by several companies for the well-being of their employees and because it gives the employees flexibility to do the work.
