Dubai College and Cranleigh Abu Dhabi were the 2 schools to reach in the best top 100 international schools in the world. This list was called the Spear’s School Index that calculates a school’s ranking based on their academic results, how well prepared they are for university, and how well the students can cope and deal with life outside school.
This Index was created by Spear’s, who are luxury and wealth magazine, and collaborated with Carfax Education who is a UAE based education consultancy.
The ultimate aim of the index that was created by Spear’s was that it could help parents choose schools better and make this an easier process. The schools among the top five rankings were Brummana High School in Lebanon, Doha College in Qatar, and Kings Academy in Jordan in the Middle East. The index also included schools from the UK, Europe, Switzerland, Middle East, USA, China, and Southeast Asia.
The reason Dubai College did well is because they managed to focus on innovation even though they are one of the oldest non-profit schools in the region and the reason Cranleigh Abu Dhabi was able to do well is because they focused on sustainability, the well-being of the pupils and community.
The Principal of Dubai College, Mr. Michael Lambert was elated to have received this recognition during a challenging school year due to the on-going pandemic. The Principal of Cranleigh Abu Dhabi, Mr. Michael Wilson was also thrilled the school was acknowledged.
